Meet Your French Teacher

Bonjour, I am Orsola Severini Darot. I am French by mother and Italian by father. I was educated entirely within the French school system, an experience that shaped both my linguistic identity and my approach to teaching. I am a polyglot fluent in French, Italian, Spanish, and English, and I have always lived between languages, cultures, and forms of storytelling.

I hold a Master’s degree in History from Sorbonne University and a second‑level Master’s degree in French Linguistics from Sorbonne Nouvelle, where I trained in the latest research on language acquisition and teaching methodologies. I am also certified DEAFLE by the Alliance Française — a professional diploma specifically designed to train teachers of French as a foreign language, with a strong focus on the CEFR/CECR action‑oriented approach and on preparing students for DELF exams.

With more than 5,000 hours of online teaching experience, I have guided learners of all ages and levels, and I have successfully prepared many students for DELF B1 and B2 exams. My lessons are fully personalized: each session adapts to the student’s goals, strengths, and challenges, whether they are preparing for an exam, improving communication skills, or simply exploring the richness of French language and culture.

I create a calm, encouraging environment where students feel supported, confident, and free to grow at their own pace.

And if you’re wondering: yes, I’m patient — my three children have trained me better than any pedagogy degree!
